DESCRIPTION

Small Juvenile Tiger Shark Jaw (6.75" x 5")

This jaw comes from a young tiger shark (Galeocerdo cuvier), one of the ocean's most recognizable apex predators, known for its distinctive dark stripes and famously varied diet. Tiger sharks have serrated, curved teeth built for slicing through nearly anything — fish, turtles, crustaceans, even bone. At 6.75" x 5", this is a compact, well-preserved juvenile specimen, a great size for display cases, collectors, or anyone starting a shark jaw collection. Each jaw is a genuine, natural specimen, so slight variations in size, coloring, and tooth count are normal.

This jaw is from the collection of Dr. Gordon Hubbell. He first taught me how to prepare jaws in the early 1990s. I've been fortunate enough to acquire some of his collection that is not going to the University of Florida. Most of these jaws and teeth on this site have been either on display or stored away for decades in Gordon's collection.
